Our group is open to all who share our basic beliefs with regard to video surveillance, namely that cameras cause people to change their natural behavior to meet officially defined acceptable patterns, they destroy trust and they reduce freedom. We should all be striving to create a free and humane society – a society filled with surveillance can only create the opposite.

We use an open mailing list to discuss ideas in the virtual world but also try to meet at least once a year face to face during the annual Freedom Not Fear event. The group was created at the Freedom Not Fear 2011 event in Brussels.
